Here at Carpenters Group, we take our corporate social responsibility seriously, we believe in giving back to our communities, across the UK, as much as we can. Back in September 2017, we began our Sunday initiative with Fans Supporting Foodbanks, feeding 100 homeless people every Sunday. So far we have served 7,200 meals and counting for those who have needed them the most between September 2017 and December 2019.
For 2019 our corporate charity of the year was homelessness, in this day and age it is hard to ignore, therefore we continue our work with our Sunday initiative and food collection points. As a company, we try to support as many charities as possible. 2019 has seen our team take part in Race for Life for the 18th year, we raise money for Headway Wirral through our annual Dragon Boat Race each summer, numerous bake sales and coffee mornings for the Rainbow Trust and MacMillan, plus much more. Through our Christmas raffle, we raised money for Claire House, as well as donations for Save the Children on Christmas Jumper day and Fans Supporting Foodbanks through our Santa Dash.
Thank you to the team for all of the fundraisings you have taken part in this year and the donations you have made. Together we have raised over £31,000 for charities such as Fans Supporting Foodbanks, Macmillan, Claire House, KIND, Whizz Kidz, The Rainbow Trust, Race for Life, Headway Wirral and Sefton, Children in Need and many more. All of our team continue to amaze us with the brilliant charity work they do!
A cause close to our Director, Donna Scullys, heart. The Sunday morning initiative is a safe space for those who need food, drink, a conversation and more. We have raised thousands of pounds this year for our corporate charity, Homelessness, which has contributed to supporting the Sunday Morning Initiative. We have spoken to our Director, Donna Scully, who is often on the front line witnessing its profound effect.Read more here
