We've interviewed our front-line colleagues across our Insurance Services and Legal Services departments to hear their first-hand insight.
“I will have worked for Carpenters for six years in January 2021 and am Head of Scottish Operations following the opening of the firm’s Scottish office in Glasgow in January 2015.
Since the Covid pandemic and lockdown in March the team in Glasgow have done a fantastic job in personally dealing with the challenges involved in working remotely, particularly where they have had to deal with their children being home with the schools shut.
I’ve also been incredibly proud of the sterling job the team have done in dealing with the clients, who for understandable reasons, have been fairly demanding on occasions as a consequence of the changing Covid world.
We have all benefited from the incredible support from various departments within Carpenters, but our IT department deserve a special mention. This support has been fantastic in the face of adversity during Covid and exemplifies the Carpenters team spirit on which the business thrives and excels. It is this togetherness as a team that is probably what I like most about the job, not just my colleagues in Glasgow, but throughout the Group nationally. We are all united working to achieve the same goal of great customer satisfaction.
The team have received some great customer reviews which is testament to their hard work and dedication despite these difficult times.
I recently received a customer review from a client who was slightly anxious, shall we say, about their claim throughout the process. Having secured a favourable settlement, the client was clearly very happy and gave me a five-star review rating. I was really pleased about this one and it reminded me again that our clients are the life blood of what we do and providing the best possible service that we can is at the core of the Carpenters ethos.”
