Celebrating 22 years: Ann Allister's Inspiring Journey at Carpenters Group
30 January 2025
Ann Allister recently celebrated an impressive 22 years at Carpenters Group, a testament to her dedication and significant contributions.
Ann's journey with Carpenters began in 2003, bringing a unique blend of skills and a fresh perspective. Having previously sailed the Atlantic and worked as a solicitor, she possesses a spirit of adventure that's evident in her approach to legal practice.
Ann quickly made her mark at Carpenters Group, demonstrating her leadership skills by effectively successfully managing a team of fee earners. She earned a reputation for tackling complex cases with tenacity and a client-centered approach.
Her dedication propelled her to Partner in 2008. With the support of Co-Owners Donna Scully and John Carpenter, she spearheaded the establishment of the firm's dedicated Serious Injury team, setting high standards and mentoring the next generation of specialists. "I have seen Carpenters grow from a small specialist firm into the largest Road Traffic Collision (RTC) firm for claimants in the country," shares Ann. "I believe that we are the best, but we do not shout about it; we just get on and help our clients. I hope that my continued contribution to developing our next generation in serious injury will help the firm carry on the reputation of caring for clients and being true experts in serious injury."
Ann's Key achievements include obtaining Law Society Personal Injury Panel accreditation and Headway Solicitor Accreditation, as well as playing a pivotal role in the Apil/Foil serious injury code pilot.
Ann's impact extends beyond Carpenters. She is a respected member of UKABIF, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries. Her commitment to this cause led to her being awarded UKABIF Lawyer of the Year in 2015.
Her involvement with Headway Wirral, a charity supporting individuals with brain injuries, exemplifies her dedication to making a positive impact on the community.
Ann's philosophy is simple: treat clients as she would want her own family to be treated. Her empathy and dedication to her clients is truly remarkable. She understands the profound impact of serious injuries and strives to provide compassionate and effective legal representation.
While the work can be emotionally demanding, Ann finds deep satisfaction in knowing she's made a difference, proving that with a bit of grit and a whole lot of heart, you can achieve anything.
Ann's advice for aspiring professionals in the industry? "Get involved, make a difference, help others as it brings joy and lightness to your heart. The best gift is giving to others."
As Ann continues her career at Carpenters, one thing is certain: her compassion, expertise, and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire those around her.
Many congratulations on your 22-year milestone, Ann!
