L6 Community Association Centre to support thousands with Food Union
22 December 2020
Autonet Insurance, Carpenters Group and Kindertons Accident Management and have teamed up to donate a brand-new van for Liverpool 6 Community Association Centre.
The L6 Centre is based in North Liverpool and aim to make a difference to the young and old in the community. They operate a Food Bank, Baby Bank and a Uniform Shop but have recently embarked on The Adele Dowling Food Union of which the van will be able to support.
The Food Union operates as a Food Bank membership where users pay £5 a week and receive approximately £25 worth of food of their choice. With the van, they can now deliver to people who can’t afford to get to L6, that are too old or are shielding due to COVID.
Donna Scully, Carpenters Group Director, said:
“We are proud and honoured to have the opportunity to pull together in such a way to help the L6 Centre in Liverpool. We have worked with them before and they do so much good in the community but this van means they’ll be able to help even more and continue their amazing efforts.”
