Carpenters Group is proud to support National Motorcycle Safety Week

05 June 2024

Motorcycle Safety Week is organised by the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC). This annual campaign raises awareness of risks and behaviours leading to motorcycle related fatal and serious injury collisions, particularly poor maintenance, and substandard PPE. It hopes to educate and in doing so influence positive motorcycle user behaviour, encouraging all forms of enhanced rider training.

It is important to encourage people to improve their riding skills, adopt safer habits and provide education to help people respond effectively in the event of an incident. It’s critical to check the condition of your motorcycle; items such as mirrors, headlights, indicators, and especially brakes - checking the condition of your bike can save lives!

As a national insurance and legal services provider, we have a dedicated legal team of ‘Biker Solicitors’ who specialise in motorcycle claims, ensuring riders are provided with Personal Injury and Uninsured loss recovery legal support. Our team are either bikers themselves or have many years of experience of handling bike claims. In fact, our Bikers for Bikers team volunteer at the Nationwide Association of blood bikes. Blood bikes are a specialist motorcycle modified for use as a courier vehicle for the prompt transportation of urgent and emergency medical items. Blood Bike members transport blood, platelets, samples, surgical instruments, Human donor milk and many other clinical products across the UK & Ireland. Anyone volunteering for blood bikes does this free of charge to help the NHS.

Here is Graham Lucas, Litigation Legal Advisor in the Biker team recently visiting the Blood Bikes team to show his support.
