Carpenters Group is Proud to Support Road Safety Week 2025
17 November 2025
At Carpenters Group, we see the devastating consequences of road traffic collisions every day.
Our Serious and Catastrophic Injury Team work closely with individuals and families whose lives have been permanently altered by incidents that, in many cases, were entirely preventable. That is why we are proud to support Road Safety Week, the UK’s biggest annual road safety campaign led by the charity Brake.
Every year, more than 1,700 people die on UK roads and 30,000 suffer serious, life-changing injuries. These shocking numbers represent real people, real families, and real futures lost or changed forever. Our team has supported clients through brain injuries, spinal trauma, amputations, and fatal collisions. We know that road safety must be improved, or the consequences are often irreversible.
Carol Hopwood, Head of Serious & Catastrophic Injury, said:
“Every life matters – ensuring our vehicles are safe on the roads and utilising the safety features of our vehicles means that we all play our part in reducing the number of tragedies on our roads, protecting our vulnerable road users and leading by example to the next generation."
Supporting Brake’s Mission
This year’s theme is Safe Vehicles Save Lives. Brake is calling attention to how vehicle technology, maintenance, and driver behaviour can prevent crashes and protect lives. From intelligent speed assistance to emergency braking systems, safe vehicles are a critical part of a safer road system.
Carpenters Group commend Brake’s development of the Road Victims’ Charter, which calls for sustainable funding and equal care for all road victims, regardless of location or circumstance. We also recognise the vital work of organisations like Road Peace, Aftermath, and Brake in supporting families and advocating for change.
Our Commitment in Action
During Road Safety Week 2025 we will be sharing checklists for vehicles and bikes with our colleagues and connections. We will also be hosting a Big Team Brake, allowing people to come together and learn more about road safety tips over a cup of tea.
Many of our colleagues have experienced road trauma in their own lives, and our Serious Injury Team continues to advocate for safer roads through both legal representation and public awareness.
Join Us
We invite our partners, clients, and community to join us in supporting Brake’s campaign. Whether it is checking your vehicle before a journey, educating others, or simply driving with care, every action counts.
