Carpenters Group partners with The Inclusive Hub for 2020/21

Carpenters Group are delighted to announce the sponsorship of 'The Inclusive Hub' in Liverpool, becoming one of our new corporate charities for 2020/21. 

The Inclusive Hub started back in 2016 helping small groups of Autistic children around Kirkdale take part in non-contact boxing and fitness sessions. As its popularity grew around Liverpool, so did the numbers and range of abilities of people taking part like Downs Syndrome, ADHD, Amputees, wheelchair users, behavioural needs and ladies involved in domestic violence just to name a few. The Inclusive Hub empowers people of all ages and abilities through exercise and education.

Liam Starkey, Hub Manager, said: "This partnership will enable us to provide our services to more people and families. It has been a challenging year with COVID which has effected our group greatly, as autism is primarily routine based, so our sessions were under threat plus parents were not receiving any respite. Our sessions were concluded outside through the height of the pandemic and this eased off any further decline in mental health for everybody involved. The support that Donna and the team at Carpenters Group have shown us already has been unbelievable. The sponsorship will now help us provide safe, bespoke sessions for our participants, plus change and potentially save lives. Everybody at the Inclusive Hub can’t thank you all enough for this partnership.

It provides respite for their families too. Liam’s daily photos & videos have been a joy during Covid cheering us up every day with the life changing work he does.
