Forever Proud: Celebrating Pride Month 2025 at Carpenters Group

At Carpenters Group, Pride Month is a time to reflect, celebrate, and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves.
This June, our offices were brought to life with vibrant Pride-themed decorations, including banners, posters, rainbow lanyards, screensavers, and even Pride-themed sweets for our colleagues. These visible signs of support were more than just a celebration - they were a powerful expression of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and a reflection of the inclusive culture we strive to build every day.
We were proud to see leaders across the business standing shoulder to shoulder in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Our CEO, Donna Richards said:

As someone with a rainbow family, I know personally how vital it is that everyone feels seen, valued, and supported - both in life and at work. This year at Carpenters, we are using the phrase 'Forever Proud' as a loud message to our team and the world that we will always stand on the side of inclusion and kindness."
This message was echoed throughout the organisation, with colleagues from all levels showing their support and taking part in Pride Month activities. Our Diversity, Inclusion and Development Lead, Emma McAvinchey, shared a powerful reminder that Pride is not confined to a single day or month, but is an ongoing journey.
"Pride is not just a month or a day. It's about being yourself, accepting yourself, and being accepted by others. Tolerance and acceptance are not the same. We should all take the time to remind ourselves of this. At Carpenters Group, we work hard every day to make our business a place where everyone feels comfortable to be their true self."
Celebrating Pride is a natural extension of our values. It’s about ensuring our people know they are supported not just during Pride Month, but every day of the year. The sense of community, support, and visibility created throughout June has been inspiring as well as serving as a reminder of the importance of continuing this work beyond the month itself.
