Matched Giving - Well done to Mia Evans

We are proud to support our colleagues fundraising efforts with our Matched Giving initiative - a way of boosting the money you have fundraised.

Congratulations to our colleague Mia Evans who recently completed her first half marathon running at the AJ Bell Great North Run 2024, raising money for Guide Dogs UK. Mia has raised an impressive £490 including a £250 Matched Giving fundraising boost from Carpenters Group.

Here, Mia tells us more about her fundraising efforts:

"I have recently completed my first Half Marathon on 08/09/2024 running at the AJ Bell Great North Run 2024. Running from the heart of Newcastle to the coast of South Shields. The Great North Run is the biggest Half Marathon in the world with 60,000+ runners taking part. I ran in aid of a fantastic charity - Guide Dogs UK who raise funds for the blind and partially sighted. Every day 250 people in the UK start to lose their sight. Every day, Guide Dogs provides the life-changing services and support for people affected by sight loss. I ran alongside my partner, Ryan, who has been the biggest motivator and supporter in all of my training runs and even ran along side me during this event! It was a brilliant day overall, fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend this event to everyone! Thank you to everyone who helped me reach my fundraising target and to Carpenters for their extremely generous matched giving scheme!"
