Why a career in law?
I think I knew from a young age I wanted to be a solicitor. As soon as I was able to take Law as a subject at A level, I did so, and this cemented my desire. I have a strong motivation to succeed and I knew a career in Law would keep me challenged.
What’s the best thing about working at Carpenters?
Honestly, the people. Everyone is so friendly and supportive in helping others reach their own goals, as well as working together as a team to achieve the goals of the business.
Most rewarding element of your role:
I really enjoy supporting my colleagues and sharing my knowledge and experience as a solicitor to help them gain confidence to litigate effectively.
Career Highlight:
A key career highlight has been being entrusted with the leadership of one of the Legal Defence teams and ensuring we consistently deliver measured, strategic advice across large volume matters.
Supporting the development of my team while helping clients manage risk and resolve disputed effectively whilst meeting the needs of the business.
If you didn’t pursue a career in law what career would you have pursued?
If I didn’t pursue Law I would have chosen a path that involved mentoring, as I genuinely enjoy supporting others and helping them achieve their goals.
Outside interests:
I have two young children who keep me very busy with all their extracurricular activities! I enjoy going to the gym and walking my dog.
Fun Fact:
A fun fact about me is I know British Sign Language.
