Carpenters Group at BIBA 2026
BIBA 2026 once again brought the insurance industry together, with insurers, brokers, partners and suppliers from across the market in attendance.
As a veteran of the BIBA conference, Carpenters Group returned to Manchester Central with a strong presence and a busy few days on the stand. This year saw us build on the momentum of 2025, with a larger footprint, a steady flow of visitors, and a full programme of activity across both days.
A highlight of this year’s BIBA was the Women in Insurance Breakfast, sponsored by Carpenters Group for the second year running. The event saw a strong turnout, with our Owner/Director, Donna Scully, interviewing Sky News broadcasting legend Kay Burley. She spoke of her career and rise within the industry, including her early days as the only woman in the newsroom.
The Women in Insurance Breakfast has become an important fixture in the BIBA calendar, bringing together women from across the industry to connect, share experiences and support one another.

Thursday was also Young Brokers’ Day, and Carpenters Group once again welcomed students from St Francis of Assisi to the conference. The group spent time on the stand speaking with the team and learning more about the industry, giving them a valuable insight into the range of career opportunities available.
Across the two days, we were joined on the stand by two special guests; LFC legends Chris Kirkland and Natasha Dowie. Both were well received by delegates and added to the atmosphere across the stand.
Chris spoke to delegates about his book "Keeping It Quiet - The Chris Kirkland Story", as well as sharing his experience of working as a mental advocate. Natasha hosted a keepy-uppy challenge, which quickly became a popular feature of the stand. Visitors took part throughout the day, with the winner receiving a Carpenters merchandise bundle along with the football signed by both footballers, and also Peter Crouch, who was speaking at the conference.
Alongside this, we ran a charity raffle in support of the LFC Foundation and Fans Supporting Foodbanks. Prizes included two Liverpool FC shirts signed by the first team and a Liverpool Gin hamper, with all proceeds supporting two organisations doing important work in communities across the region.
Overall, BIBA 2026 was another successful event for Carpenters Group. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to spend time face-to-face with the market and continue strengthening relationships across the industry.
