Our Director, Donna Scully, was named on the Insurance Post Power List 2023!

"As joint owner and director of Carpenters Group, Donna Scully is transforming the make-up of the industry.

Carpenters has an employee-led equality, diversity, and inclusion team tasked with creating a culture of respect, empathy, understanding plus awareness of difference.

The team promote the value of diversity in thought and perspective, while Scully aims to inspire young people from all backgrounds to believe anything is possible if you are given the right information and support.

Carpenters has a schools engagement and education programme in operation across Merseyside plus an established and diverse apprenticeship scheme.

Currently Carpenters has 21 apprentices across the business doing Solicitors Qualifying Exam, legal, HR, marketing, Chartered Insurance Institute, administration, and IT apprenticeships.

Scully scored well when it came to her diversity and inclusion work also because Carpenters has a very small gender pay gap and at all levels, is predominantly female.

She is a big supporter of access to justice and collaboration and in September 2018 won Insurance Post’s Social Media Influencer award.

Scully won the Outstanding Charity Support Award 2021 at the Liverpool Echo Regional Business Awards for her community and charity work during the pandemic, and she has been shortlisted in the ‘Person with Purpose’ category at the Northern Power Women Awards 2023. She is an ambassador for Fans Supporting Foodbanks, a Football for Change Champion and mentors for the Inclusive Hub as well as The Girls Network."
