Matched Giving - Well done to Heather McGowan

We are proud to support our colleagues fundraising efforts with our Matched Giving initiative - a way of boosting the money you have fundraised.

Congratulations to Heather McGowan and a group of her friends who recently completed 50 miles last month to support the amazing Maggie’s, who provide free support for people effected by cancer. They raised an amazing £538 and received a £250 'matched giving' fundraising boost from Carpenters Group.

Here is what Heather had to say:

“Myself and a group of friends have decided to run 50 miles in February to support the amazing Maggie’s, who provide free support for people effected by cancer.

We chose Maggie’s as we have all been effected by cancer, our grandparents, parents, partners and friends have been diagnosed all within the past 4 years, some have received successful treatment and others have not. Maggie’s is a wonderful charity where anyone effected by cancer can go to get free support in dealing with, without fundraising this support cannot continue.

I am currently at 41.01 miles so I’ve not got too far to go!”

Heather has now finished and completed 51.6 miles on Saturday!
